MICROSOFT IS SET TO RELEASE OFFICE 2013 APPS FOR ANDROID AND iOS IN 2013

Microsoft Corporation is planning to release their Office 2013 apps for Android and iOS. It is a very remarkable step by Microsoft Corporation and it is likely to be a New Year gift from Microsoft for all Android and iOS users. However, this statement has given by Microsoft’s Czech Republic Product Manager Petr Bobek.

Now, OFFICE 2013 apps on iOS and Android.


In addition, Microsoft Czech Republic Product Manager also said- “Office will be also available on other operating systems like Windows RT, Window phones, Symbian, Mac OS”.

Around March 2013, A New version of Office Web Apps and Office 365 will also be available. However, Multi-platform with Office 2013 would allow having a universal presence on all mobile devices.

Innovative Features of Office 2013 Apps:

The Microsoft are always known for its creative and innovative technologies. Once again, they proved it. “The New Office” included both SkyDrive and SharePoint for storing the documents online. You will be able to get Office 365 subscription, which is open new for the consumers. Now some new features of office 2013 apps are here:

  • Account Login:
     The new office 2013 includes a new tab called “Office Account” that maintain your accounts on Sky Drive or switch accounts. You may also to connect Facebook, Twitter and can add services like LinkedIn and Sky Drive.

  • PDF Editing:
      In previous office versions, you can save Word document as PDF files, but until you could not edit PDF files without first converting in DOC or DOCX format. However, in New Word 2013 you can simply open PDF files and do editing what you want. You can also save as DOCX files or PDF files.

  • Sky Drive Integration:
     Office 2013 apps are design to integrate with SkyDrive and SharePoint. You can access and manage any files online anywhere. After finishing your work, your excel files, presentation or document files will automatically save in Sky Drive. However, you can also save to your local hard drive.

  • Modern look and feel Interface:
      In comparison to Office 2007 and 2010, Office 2013 getting a new looks called “Modern” look (previously called “Metro”).
